Golden Altai

Toursmoto staff member will meet you at Barnaul Airport (BAX) and transfer to the city of Barnaul. Then, you will have time to freshen up at the hotel and have some rest. After the lunch, you have an option to see the city and walk down the embankment. In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner with all tour participants including guides and the mechanic.

After breakfast, you will get your bikes and at 9 a.m. you’ll start. This day, you will approach the beauty of Altai, the place where mountains begin to appear. You will climb up to the famous mountain Picket and visit the museum of prominent Russian writer M. Shukshin.

After lunch, a local Altai Shaman will wait for you. He will tell you about the culture of the region and how local tribes turned to be included in Russian Empire. In the evening, you will get to the guest-house, where the Russian Banja (sauna) will be prepared for the group.

Today, you will ride picturesque road in mountains along the Bija River. You will visit some sites such as Tavdijskiy Cave, where the village of ancient human beings was found. Some researchers think that the first human being was found there. You will even see a huge stone, which was used by habitats of the cave as door. That’s incredible how did the even managed to move that stone! In the evening, you will experience the famous Russian banja (sauna) and swim in the Teletskoe Lake.

This day is a special day. You will experience a four-hour trip on ship to the other side of the magnificent Lake Teletskoe. Most of the coast and its environs were not influenced by civilization and remained in their original form, unchanged for thousands of years.

During the lake trip, you will stop at Korbu waterfalls, where you will have lunch and you will be able to try fresh fish Charius, which was caught right in Lake Teletskoe. Then you will ride the most picturesque road of this tour, and probably in the whole Altay, the road along Chulysman River.

In the second part of the day, you will climb the to the mountain to see the wonder of nature – mountains in the form of mushrooms, so called Mushroom Rocks. Do not forget the convenient shoes because the ascent will take almost an hour. This day you will enjoy an accommodation in traditional Altai ail. In the evening, as usual, you will have dinner and Russian Banja with swimming in the cold mountain river.

As soon as everyone are full of power and enthusiasm, you will drive the mountain pass Katu-Yaryk. This pass is fully hand-made road, which was created not so long time ago, in 1989. Before the pass was created, there was no access to this beautiful untouched area except by the helicopter.

After the ascent, you will explore ancient mounds – the dumping of ancient Skifian imperators. Further, beautiful road awaits for you with beautiful passes and mountain lakes.

You are approaching Chuya Highway, the most famous road in Altai. This road became an economic driver for this region of Russia. Closer to the highway, there will be a possibility to buy local souvenirs in the big market: Altai honey, medical herbal tee, felt boots, etc. Today, you will stay in traditional Altai Yurt next to the river bank.

After breakfast, you will drive to Chuya Highway. On the way, you will visit the breathtaking place, the confluence of rivers Chuya and Katun. Then you will ride through the road cut down in the mountain and then head to the Putin’s residence, which you will observe from the top of the mountain.

This day, Toursmoto suggests you to sleep in a field night next to the purest river, Ursul. This will be a great evening with romantic bonfire and starry sky.

The morning begins with a breakfast and putting together the camp. Then you return back to Chuya Highway and go… On this road you will ride through two beautiful passes. Your goal is the resort city Belockuricha. Today, you will stay for a night in a comfortable resort.

Today you will make some short rides not far from the resort city. The rest of the day will be free, you can have rest in the resort or experience paragliding and horse riding. The following night you will spend in the same hotel.

Today, you are moving back to Barnaul. After the lunch you will stay in the hotel. Toursmoto suggests that you have a rest because tomorrow an early wake up awaits you. In the evening, you will have a closing dinner in the bike-bar, where you will be able to spend a pleasant evening and share your thoughts about the tour. All participants will be awarded with certificates and special souvenirs from the head guide of Toursmoto Company.

After an early breakfast and saying goodbye, a staff member will transfer you to the airport. Toursmoto Company wishes you a good flight.
